Sri 1008 Satyadhyana Tirtha a saint scholar of the early half of the 20th century delivered a course of lectures on the Bhagvad Geetha in 1930 highlighting its message Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak had propounded the theory that the philosophy of duty id the message of Geetha. He met Sri Satyadhyana Tirtha and presented his book. Satyadhyana Tirtha told him that the philosophy of dedication to the God is the massage of the Geetha. On a request by a large number of disciples Satyadhyana Tirtha elaborated this message in his lectures. Obtain the knowledge by humility inquisitiveness and application of the mind. Its entire philosophy explained here is highly critical and the answers are deeply convincing. All the important statements of Geetha are explained by the very verses of Geetha. The delusion is removed and the truth is recollected. The visvarupa of Geetha message is revealed.
These lectures were delivered in Kannada and published six decades back. Now Sri M.R. Krishnamurthy has ably rendered them in English. The depth of the thought and the vigour of the style of the original are retained in translation. Thge impact of the message of the translation of the Geetha is as captuing in the translation as in the original. A reading of this enchanted book is a rewarding endeavour.
