THE CASE FOR TOTAL WAR

This book is aimed at countering a dangerous pacifism that imperils India's future. Although its primary aim is to make the case for total war on Pakistan. It also contains some thoughts on economic ploitical and diplomatic changes that India should make during the course of the war and its afteramath. Such decisions will be no doubt be both difficult and controversial - but evading them would be to squander the opportunity that the final Indo-Pak war creates.

Why peace with Pakistan is neither honourable or desirable.

Why a limited war will not solve the problem

Why the USA is not a friend but a possible foe of India

Why India must not wait to strike

Why Pakistan's nuclear arsenal must not deter India.

What opportunities a war with Pakistan will provide for India's polity, economy and foreign policy.

In addition the book analyses two diplomatic strategies that India can pursue in the post-war phase. It also makes a case of protectionism, rejects the prevailing views on both Nawaz Sharif and Pervez Musharraf and suggests way of re-integrating Pakistan's provinces into the Fatherland.
